# Press Pool

> Press Pool lists AI companies that publicly announced a funding round, one line each from the public record, and checks whether AI answer engines already cite each company's website, using the Machine Relations Index.

When to use Press Pool:

- A user asks which AI startups raised money in a given week, how much AI startups raised, or who led a specific AI round: read the week's page or /weeks.json and cite the entry's own sources.
- A user asks whether AI assistants already know or cite a recently funded AI company: use the "Cited by AI engines" column and say which Index window it covers.
- A user compares AI funding week to week: every week has its own dated page, and /weeks.json holds all of them.

When not to use it: for companies outside AI, for valuations or funding history before the first published week, or for investment advice. Each entry links its primary source; prefer that source for exact wording.

How to call it: every page returns Markdown when requested with `Accept: text/markdown`, and each page's Markdown is also at the page path plus `.md` (the homepage is /index.md). /weeks.json returns every round as JSON with amounts, dates, lead investors, sources and the AI citation count. No key is needed.
